Brake Fluid Top Up

The Brake fluid reservoir on my 07 Plate 1.8 TDCI Titanium is tucked up under the screen valance and looks pretty inaccessible. I haven't tried to top up yet but how do I do it-there's not a lot of space and i can't even get to see how much fluid is in it let alone get a bottle on to it. Also,
I haven't even tried the power sterring container under the headlight.
Anybody any views on this.

I'm going to attempt a power steering fluid top-up this week as it seems there's a very slight leak following a small collision (don't ask!). Power steering was fine for over a week, then jerky for a few days followed by it going completely dead (can still move the car by wrestling the wheel around). Is it just right headlight out and it's right there? Just need to get it topped up until I can get a mechanic to look at it.

I agree totally stupid place to put it, what I have done is get my self a cheap plastic syringe of eBay and attatched a piece of tube to the end should I need to top up the fluid, but like big Budgie states unless you have a leak somewhere you should not need to top your fluid up, but a stupid design in its position!!

I personally think that the brake reservoir position is inexcusable. My Picasso also had the brake master cylinder tucked away under the valance, apparently quite normal in this type of vehicle, but at least Citroen had the gumption and foresight to give you a remote reservoir where you could both see the level and fill it without being a contortionist! The Power steering one is easy enough, you just undo the big Torx screw on the top of the headlight and depress the two clips on the bottom, and the headlight will come out and give you access, also the best way to change bulbs. Unless you're aware of fluid leakage, you shouldn't have to check it very often.

Hi, The Brake fluid bottle is in a weird place but you have just to be careful of putting fluid in because is awkward. On the right hand side of the bottle says min and max clean the dirt off and you will see it. The cap is really stiff and hard to get off. Same goes for power steering fluid bottle but the measurements are on the from. If there on Max you should be ok. Hope this helps! :)
