The disadvantages of owning a car with a DPF engine are starting to be understood.
I had a problem a few weeks back and it was fixed by regenerating the DPF and resetting the code. But here I am about 400 mileslater with the same warnings on the dash and theerror code P242f (Ebay bought OBDII reader) is showing.
My question concerns whether the problem is filter based or fluid based. The car has done 50k. Does anyone know if the Cmax has a fluid level error warning. If not my guess is there is something else that is causing the DPF to trigger the fault code.
On another note is the does anyone know if the DPF fluid is the same as the fluid used on theCitroen engines.
I have done a trip of 320 miles within this period BTW
