Red warning light flashes between the fuel / temp gauges when i leave and lock the car. Had the C Max 6 yrs and its only started to occur this week after putting my battery on charge, but it clears every time i unlock the car. I fear its running the battery down evert time i lock up. Anyone else had this issue i would be grateful for any answers.

I have a mk1 so mine is in a different place but I think thats your alarm set light. look in the handbook.

Thanks, I've been thru handbook and downloaded the pdf but there's no mention of this warning light anywhere, that's the frustrating thing

I think its to tell you there is a message in the information display according to my handbook on page 78.

I've checked messages but it's clear of anything and says system is ok so i'm guessing its to do with the alarm/immobiliser once it's activated, thanks for your input anyway,
