Cmax 2009 1.6 petrol
Update on last post is that i have just tried to start the car and now internal lights and dash are flashing on and off.
I can hear clicking as if central locking is closing and opening.
Also have a usd adapter for phone pluged in that shows battery voltage when first tried to start the car it was reading 12 volts now with lights and dash flashing the reading is going up and down from 6 to 9 volts.
Any ideas
Thanks

Do you know how old the battery is? They have a life, usually 5 years is acceptable (but they can last longer, it depends on many variables).
Have you checked the condition of the battery terminals, is the connection tight and are the terminals clean?

You will need to charge the battery / or jump start the car from another car , then when running test the battery voltage (should be 14Volts or above).
if the battery is flat again the next day it would be worth just getting a new battery which is only about £40
if again the battery goes flat you will have a battery drain which would need someone more technical to track it down (presumably you did not leave any lights on)
