Hi all, newbie here,<?: prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:eek:ffice:eek:ffice" />

I have just taken ownership of a 55 plate C-Max Zetec. Being new to the world of Ford I have some questions that you may be able to assist with.

Firstly the rear seats: I can get them to tip and tumble, but how do you remove them? also, how do you get the 2 rear side seats to slide back into the boot area to give more passenger room? The manual is less than helpful, with no reference to the rear seats or their configuration options. (makes me wonder if I have the right manual!)

Additionally, we intend to use the C-Max to drive down to southern <?: prefix = st1 ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:eek:ffice:smarttags" />France this year. I have seen reference on this site, of a zipped document with the Ford templates & instructions for headlight masks/beam converters. Would anybody be able to provide me with a copy?

Many thanks,

Follow on regarding removing the rear seat
I think there are probably diagrams on the seat bases themselves as to the other functions

For the rear seat to slide inwards and backwards i'm sure you have to be able to get the centre seat squab to fold up and backwards so presumably there is a lever under the front edge of the seat somewhere ( Note I don't knoe for which model year this was introduced or at which trim level)

Rear seats... To get the two outers to slide inwards and rearwards you first need to fold the parcel shelf back to it's first fold mark, then pull the lever underneath the seat squab of the centre seat (under your knees if you were sitting on it) and fold it upwards and into the boot, then pull the lever at the front outer edge of the seat squabs of the outer seats to slide them.

To remove them... fold the back of the seat down (forward) first, then pivot the seat up until approx 45 deg, then use the red handle near where the hinge is. It's a hook type arrangement which only works at approx 45 degrees. I think there's also an order - like you need to do the centre one first or vice versa, or maybe thats just for folding them forward, or putting them back in - sorry, can't remember.

Once you've done this once it all makes sense.
