I have a CMAX Zetec 1.6 tcdi 2004 model.
Do these tend to have a common oil leak problem?
If you remove the huge cover residing underneath the engine/sump area then you will find wet patches.
I have wiped away any oil patch a few weeks ago and now I have taken another look. I jacked the car up.
There is a leak some where but I am not 100% sure where it is coming from

One place could be from the bearing where the drive shaft fits.
Another area is the little slot which is I think an inspection hole. Correct me if I am wrong. Anyway you wouldn't have oil coming fromt there would you? But it seems damp in that area.
Please view my pics. I have edited them to give viewers as much information as I can.

Thank you for taking your time to view my post and I hope somebody can help. What with the credit crunch I need this like a hole in the head!

Do you know if the copper washer behind the sump plug was changed with the last oil change as specified. This could be a possible point to try along with if the plug is actually tight
