hi all

my 2.0 tdci would'nt start took it to ford's told me i had lots of brass particles of metal in filter housing said i would need new pump and injectors and full fuel system clean out said it wouldcost around £3000 to put right
has any one heard of this or had this happen

You might have thse same as I had

Started fine one minute and then nothing. What year is your CMax?
Mine turned out to be the fuel pump had died and after further inspection, took one of the injectors with it. The new pump was about £350 and the Injector was £300 ... yes for one injector

Along with labour total cost was under a grand. I think what Ford are quoting is the cover all bases part. Agree with the fuel pump and clean through (if it is that) but all injectors? I would check to see if it is truely that or perhaps they are saying that because they do not want to do it.

hi lawe its a 2004 but just had a result won a brand new pump and 2 brand new injectors on flea bay for £190 inc p+p
