I recently fitted my winter wheels/tyres and have a fault code up. I realise the wheels are not fitted with sensors, so have ordered some genuine Ford sensors. I'm looking for a definitive answer to 'do I need to code them? '
I've seen a TPMS reset procedure that's done via the in-car menu, but I'm not sure if this is just for re-calibrating, and perhaps won't work for new sensors?
My local tyre place says they'll need coding, also that I need to buy the sensors from them (£££) as their coding device won't work with the OEM sensors I've ordered. I suspect that's b*****it.
