Hi peeps,I left a message about the clutch burn out aftre only 600 miles on the clock, the details are in the new cmax forum under Technical! please read about it ,if you have the time,Id love some feedback. Come on guys!
Peace and light x
Hi Catangel, sorry to hear about the problems with your clutch on your new car, i agree you would seriously have to give the clutch some stick to burn it out, fortantly my car thats on order is an Automatic so i should not have any clutch issues, glad to see you like the car though
I'd think that any car that has a blown clutch after 600 miles, no
matter how you drive it, wouldn't be fit for the purpose. You'd have
drive a car very very badly to get the clutch to blow that soon.
My C-Max is a year old, done 14,000 miles, and its clutch is biting a
bit high for my taste, but still works fine, and that's with my wife
driving it for quite a bit of the time, and she's not the worlds best
driver; plus we live in a very hilly area where the clutch gets a lot
The citroen Xsara I had previously was an ex-company car and its clutch was still
going strong at 120,000 miles, though the suspension and other bits of the car caused their fair share of problems before I got rid of it.
Glad to see you got it sorted though.
I've had to have some suspension bushes replaced on my C-Max and it was a hassle to get the dealer to do the job properly. Funnily enough they've gone bust now...
Thanks you guys for replying so soon,it will be really cool if this site really takes off, just to get any niggles off our chest plus all the positive things to be said for owning the C Max,I really love our car again now shes been fixed,we call her Rosa,It would be fun to know what names other owners call their car! So come on you know what to do!!
Peace and Light! PS we bought her some flower stickers today, just a few subtle decals.
