I have just bought a 57 plate 1.8 titanium. There is a rocker switch on the driver door I am hesitant to try as I don't know what it does. Can anyone enlighten me?

It looks like an interior movement sensor?
From the symbol I thought it looked like some sort of sensing. So currently it is in a central position. I assume from the design it has two other positions. I would think the central position was 'off' one direction would be 'on' so what would the other direction be? Assuming the rocker switch rocks both ways. Last thing I want is to end up with something going off and lockng me out of the car!
