Hello,

My 2005 2lt Ghia's suspension seems to make make a lot of noise over rough surfaces, pot holes, from all four wheels. It's not a metallic clunk (like on my old picasso) more of a thud. the car has done 70000 miles, just wondering if this is a common thing or if i need to get it looked at.

Cheers Brian.

First thing that <excuse the pun> springs to mind (
) is shock absorbers.
When were these last changed?

I don't know, I have only had the car a couple of months, it seems to handle OK and the tires are wearing evenly.

Possibly is the dampers as they are designed to soften the rebound after the springs have beencompressed, so if they aren't working properly the spring will litterly rebound more rapidly and give you a knocking sound.

Hopefully this will explain it in a bit more detail.
