Having changed Remote Key Fob Battery, I find it will not always open my door, kind of "Hit and Miss"? having gained entery the engine will start up ok, the only thing I can suspect is a low battery condition as I don't run the car as much as I think I should, currently I have put the car on a Trickle Charge. Can anyone Help?

If the car will start the battery is fine. It takes alot more out of the battery when you're starting than to unlock some doors!

It is more likely to be interference from another remote or maybe try a new remote?

Instructions on how to program it are available in the Owners Manual page 35 IIRC.

Hi Gepard, Thank you very much for your input, after my 8 hour trickle charge I found no positive prove that it was my battery. My wife runs a "Fusion 2" with similar alarm with no problems.

How can I prove the Key Fob without having to buy a new one?

surely if the original key will start the engine, then ther is no need to re-program the key unless you mean the new one?
