Struggled with this site and local Dealership to find an ignition live fuse in the passenger compartment of my 2013 C Max Titanium. Advised by Safe and Sound in Droylsden, Manchester to use fuse for the radio. There were two no. 67 and no. 85.

No. 67 was the more difficult one to get at so I tried No. 85.

Perfect, does exactly what I want, dashcam is only on when ignition is on. Job made very easy with the use of a piggy back fuse, driven for 50 years and only just discovered them.

Just one more thing, when positioning the dashcam make sure the chosen position is wiped by the windscreen wipers.

Positioning of a dash cam is more tricky than you think as if there's a screen on it it mustn't be viewable by the driver as it's classed as a distraction like a mobile phone. The only place I could put mine was behind the rear view mirror on the passenger side.

I have bought a dash cam that actually fits over the mirror so that you do not obscure anything and it works a treat.
