2.0 TDCI 2005 CMax Ghia.

The following is a list of missing fuses from the fuse box (and relays)
The fuses and or relays are missing, but the socketin the box is actually wired up/

Passenger footwell.
F45 and F71 - Daytime Running Lights
F51- Fuel Pump Fues

K4 Fuel Pump Relay Missing
K5 Daytime runnling lights

The day light running lights i couldnt give a toss about, but the fuel pump fuse and relay has me scatching my head, especially as the car starts and drives just fine

Are these "actually unused" on a cmax or should i be looking into this further??

Hiya, you don't have a electric fuel pump so no need for relay or fuse.
And DRL's were not fitted until I think 2011 in this country.
It's purely to make the production line simpler and of course to save themselves money making different fuse boxes for different models.

And this right here is why the forums are so much more use than a manual.

So although there "wired" in the box.there not wired for the diesel but the petrol.

Thank YOU

That is very true, and your're very welcome.
This takes me back to when I purchased my Capri 20 S Many years ago it had just about every extra going but it never had headlamp wash, All I had to do was buy two relays and plug them in the slots in the fuse box got hold of the bigger washer bottle and extra pump all the wires were there taped back for the extra washer pump, made two holes in the bumper fitted the jets and it all worked same as factory fitted.(y)

Further investigation and wiring tracing, has confirmed, that although wired to the fuse box, they are not fitted.

The fuel pump wiring is tucked up above my tank and taped up (its now providing power to the boot with a few more 12v outlets for camping, and a small inverter) (Normally closed relay, instead of normally open)

The daylight running lights, has 4 sets of wires, one on each corer, again taped up and not used, but with 10 amps of power available, there not really of any use.

Aha they still do have the extra wires there taped up then that was 1980 when I did my Capri, great if you want to add extras or can be made use of as in your clever idea just remember don't put a higher rated fuse in the socket than what should be in there.:)
