Hi folks any help truly appreciated just renewed power steering pump union bolt due to leak and had alternator removed.
Inadvertently refitted forgetting (as had to open boot for work purposes) that I had reconnected battery lead.
The very brief live flash when connecting alternator live reminded me.
Refitted all and turned ignition on and now just have a loud click when trying to start.
Checked visible fuses all seem okay
Is there an inline heavy duty fuse or maybe a resistor I am missing or something else I need to check.
Meant to be back at work 9pm tonight so kinda desperate to sort out if at all possible.

Strange ? Couldn't locate this post earlier on but now it's reappeared.
In any case found my answer by searching way back to 2010.
It seemed the blob of solder used as 150 fuse on the battery lead at the battery terminal had melted.
Enough left on to reapply and the car is back in business.

I know how annoying an empty thread can be. Rest assured without that historical information available I would still been scratching around for answers.
As an old Grand Master Ancient whatever on a Motorcycle Forum I frequent I remembered my mantra to the newbies " Use the search function first your answer or direction of action will be hidden somewhere in the Archives"
