Hi,

yesterday I started to get the message on the info display suggesting that the EPB is faulty. This message was accompanied by a yellow warning light and the battery icon is on red. Can anyone please give me some clues as to the probable problem causing this message and the likely solution. Is there anything I can do to resolve the fault or does it mean an expensive visit to the local Ford Main Dealer.

Thanks in advance for any help I may receive.
Cheers

Jim

Hi Jim
I`m afraid you have a dodgy alternator. Due to the fact that the electric handbrake uses a lot of juice if the alternator goes it throws up that message. Its a tricky job to do on the 2.0tdci with a special aux belt tensioner needed see :http://www.pvrdirect.co.uk/productinfo.aspx?catref=VS4833
luckily my mate made me a temporary one.
