How the heck do you switch off the drivers seatbelt audible warning? It is annoying me. I do wear the seat belt.

Can you trust Fordthorne or any garage that has done a service on your car and besides the tyres needing renewing and fronts pads (correct) when they say there is a slight leak from the sump area how the heck do I know they are telling the truth?

I have asked could they be more specific? Is the sump cracked? Is it coming from the gasket area? They said they would need to do a more thorough inspection ie sump off!

So, how much would this cost in labour? New sump? I am worried now. My car is a 2004 C-Max 1.6 Zetec.

To disable seatbelt chime...

Get in car, close all doors, switch on ignition but don't start car.
Plug drivers belt in and out nine times, ending with it undone.
The car will beep at you to confirm.

To re-enable it's the same process.
