Hi. any suggestion for my ford cmax 2010. had to call rac who done a full regen on it, but suggested that the diesel particulate filter needs to be fully cleaned as this is likely to be cause,, well done that yesterday for the cost of £300, low and behold went about 10 mile today and hey presto the engine malfunction light is back on!! any thoughts?

It's called the dpf merry-go-round because you haven't identified the original issue of which could be many but as simple as a boost leak .

Started off as a bit of a smell in the car, then engine malfunction light came on, took it to garage who said it’s the dpf but they cleared the warning light? Advised rac To get it cleaned, if the dpf was taken off to be cleaned would the light still come on? Since having it cleared I’ve had it hooked up again that said dpf needs cleaning

£300 but apparently didn’t work? Took it back to garage for them to sort
