Question in subject. Had MOT yesterday and had advisory regarding rear break pads. He said they have another 6or so months left in them but I wondered if a warning comes up on dash like my BMW or if I hav to monitorit

Thanks

I have a 1.8 tdci 07 titanium and no sign of any warning of low brake pads. either remove wheels or depending on what sort of wheels your car has you can sometimes see the caliper through the gaps between the spokes. These are the only ways I know of. Maybe there is a warning on other models.

When i put my winter wheels/tyres on my c-max i didn't see any wires going to the brake pads or calipers so i don't think i have the warning system .

I would be surprised if there is no pad wear indicator, it wont be on all 4 callipers, just one at the front and one at the rear normally
The owner manual should tell you too

Nope no sensors I have a titanium x and none front or back, why not? I guess it saves a few quid off the price of the car and sells them a few more brake disk if you don't service your car regularly?
