I had a problem a few weeks ago with one of the pipes that goes from injector to injector (fuel reclaim system????) which was spraying fuel into the area around the injectors - this was then heated by the engine giving off smoke and smelling awful.
The problem was a split in one of the small pipes which was repaired under warranty. Trouble is, I think it has happened again as I'm getting the smell and there are puddles of diesel around the injectors, but I can't see any fuel spray from any of the pipes.
Before I go back to the dealer, is this a common(ish) problem with C-Max's (and one that I could fix myself - with some better quality piping) or am I just unlucky to have this happen twice?

This happened to our 54 2.0 TDCI.
When our fuel pump died, it also took one of the injectors with it. Italso had a small leak around no3 Injector. Seal had gone but it is something only Fraud or Independant specialist with the right software can do as they need to program the injectors.
