I know it might be the expensive option but wouldn't it be best to get Ford do this due to any warranty issues.
Its not the best cruise control system either.

Very true but warranty is not an issue as we are ford dealers in our own right and most warranty work can be done in house due to fleet size.
Unfortunately ford dealers do think they have the customer over a barrel because of IDS and they never give away too much info. Also at £550.00 I think that it would cost no were near that as most system are available they just need to be switched on with IDS and a small inexpensive unit added.

Hi Chris, I am also after cruise control for my 2016 Zetec Grand C Max, if I obtain a steering wheel from a 2015 titanium spec model with cruise control of the same style do you think it will fit ? Also I dont live far from Wton, do you know a nice chappy who could activate it for me....hint hint...lol :D

A word of warning, I would not try using Focccus software with a ELM327 to activate these features on your BCM, I did on my 2016 C Max and it resulted in my car completely crashing and power to nothing, it had to be reflashed by a Ford dealer, the Focccus software crashed at 99% (ccc data error) and deleted all the vehicles config data, I tried several times to reload this data as I had saved the cars original config file but with no success ! The moral of this story is to either take it to a dealer or specialist to activate these features using the Ford IDS diagnostics !

Just a word of warning in case you don't know.
Never use cruise control in the heavy rain or icy conditions. If you start to aquaplane you normally would ease off the throttle but cruise control wont. You could panic hit the brakes and make things a lot worse

Update. I have fitted the correct steering wheel with cruise control switches, changed the as built data in the bcm using Forscan to enable both Cruise control and ASL, cleared all dtc's generated by doing this but it does not function, have read loads of threads on other forums and it should be working or am I missing something ??

Any info or tips will be appreciated, thanks in advance
