hi all .

ive had my max now since november and have just checked the front tyres and they are both wearing in a weird way.

the tyre has loads of tread left except for a 2-3cm strip on the very inside of the tread .

the same on both front tyres??

now i dont get and pulling one way or the other so im not sure if it needs trackibng doing or not??

is this a common problem then or not??

thanks

steve

I would suggest the tracking might benefit from a check

I would think that they are "toed out" more than spec and given that FWD will tend to pull "Toe Out" back it may be quite a long way

You could also check for both loose hub beatings or loose wheel nuts (just slightly)

i think this might be a common fault.

My 06 plate 2 litre Ghai just went in for a service and both inner edges on the front tyres have worn down to 1.7mm where as the centre and outer edges still have 3 - 4mm left.

So off to get some new boots for the front this week.
