Well, now that I am going to change from a ratty old 1996 Fiesta Ghia to a 2005 C-Max I suppose I had better give more thought to keeping it clean. Can anyone recommend a cordless, or 12v, vacuum cleaner that actually works. Most cordless ones I've seen couldn't suck the skin off a rice pudding.
Fiesta Ghia! Who were they kidding. It has just about a basic level of equipment, even allowing for the year. Hate to think what non-Ghia models were like. It was hardly any better than a '94 Transit I used to have. Actually, I preferred the Transit.

Thank you for the replies. No, I didn't Google, as I was looking for a recommendation. My previous experience with hand-helds, quite a few years ago, was that they weren't much cop. It would certainly be more effective to use the house vacuum, but it's not practicable for me as it means trailing a lead across the pavement, and these days an accidently-on-purpose trip would probably lead me to being sued. I've tried it before, and it is amazing how people seemed to be drawn to the lead like moths to a flame.

dyson do a turbo brush for their cleaners that is supposed to be for animal hair. They also do a smaller one for such as chairs and curtains, We did have one for our two but it's got very old and the bearings have worn so it doesn't spin as fast as it might now, They are on dyson's web site if you've not got one of their agents nearby
