Bought some of the Philips Extreme power bulbs to upgrade my lights. Had a go at changing them today without success. I previously had a Mondeo and a similar process of removing the whole light unit to change a bulb presented no problems. On my C Max I could not disconnct the lamp from the wiring socket and then proceeded to snap the end bit of one of the two plastic pieces that hold it in place. A disaster!

It still seems secure enough so I hopefully do not need to replace the lighting assembly but it looks like I will need garage assistanceunles anyone can offer any handy hints.

You obviously did the complicated bit (by ref to the plastic connectors)
The connectors to the bulbs should just then pull off the back of each bulb. If the metal has "stuck" you could try warming it a little with either a hair drier or a hot air gun

The manual does show pictures of the process
