hi . just wondered what mpg i should be getting from an 06 1800 cdti . please tell me i should be getting more than the 30 it seems to be doing at the moment ? can anyone help ?
Hi, (first post!) '54 plate 2.0 TDCI returning a disappointing 43 mpg. The read out on the display says 47 but my calculations give 43. Only done about 1500 mls.so early days?
I have a 2.0 TDCI and it did not free up until about 15k on the clock when the mpg gets better.
It has 33k on it now, 05 reg and around town and school run averages 26 to 28mpg. On a run if I drive i'll get between 40 and 60mpg dep on speed and if i have bikes or roof box on the car.
With the roof box in France at 85mph get about 35mpg over 600 miles.
I've got a 2005 2.0 litre and that does 47 to 50 mpg quite easily, when i first bought it , it did about 37 but the dealer reloaded the software and it improved by 10 mpg
I have moved to spain and just purchased a 1.8 TDCI no 1.6 100+ hp unit on sale here.
i have worked for Ford and driven Ford cars all my working life. All new diesel are crap on fuel, needs 10k to free up. I am getting 42, m.p.g from my new C Max at this time so not to bad.
