Hi,
My partners 2012 C-Max 1.6 petrol is intermittently displaying engine warning light and has had a garage take a look and have read the codes :-

P0057-11 - Ho2S Heater Control Circuit Low (Bank 2, Sensor 2)
P111A-00 - Engine Coolant Over Temperature Condition - Forced Limited Power

The first one, they believe is an 02 sensor that needs replacing and have ordered the replacement.

The P111A-00 code however has had them stumped as the temperature gauge reads normally, no flashing over temp or signs of overheating, coolant loss etc. Car seems to drive normally as well.

Any idea's ? Is there two temperature sensors, one to drive the gauge, the other to the ECU ?

Thanks

hi if you pm me your reg I will take a look for you as it might have a cylinder head temperature as well as a engine coolant temp sensor
