Without a service manual, I am somewhatr ashamed to admit I cannot locate the oil filter housing. Can anyone point my to the correct location, Anyhthing need to be removed to gain access ? Thanks

Hi and welcome I have the 2.0 tdci but i remember a thread on here and i`m sure someone said it was on the right under the airbox. Its a black plastic cap with a 27mm hexagon on top you unscrew this and replace the paper filter. Hope this helps

As a 1.6 TDCI owner who has recently done the oilchange I concur with the positioning of the top of the filter housing. You only need to remove the pipework between the air filter housing and the inlet manifold to get at it as well

Halfords do the filter though it will look too small when you see it(It did to me so I got the proper Ford one for a couple of £ more but it was the same size)

Don't forget the new copper washer for the sump plug as well
