Hi everyone, I have a 2008 cmax 1.6 petrol with 93000 miles on. Last week it started to misfire so I plugged in the forescan and got code p0302 cylinder 2 misfire. I changed the coilpack, ht leads and spark plugs and cleared the code. The car is still misfiring only under load though its fine on idle however the code has not reappeared. Could anyone point me in the right direction of where to check next? Thanks in advance everyone😀

Did you check all the leads are pushed fully home both ends and if the plugs have screw on tops are they all tight?

Thanks I've just tried that tightened everything up its still doing it.

Run the engine in the dark with the bonnet open and look for lightning any shorts to earth will be easily seen.
Or check engine earth is clean tight and a compression check.

Hi everyone, I've just had a look over the old coilpack and ht leads and noticed some discolouration on rhe coil pack terminal of cylinder 2. However I have changed the coilpack and ht leads and it is still misfiring.

It could be a faulty new coil pack or maybe it's the low voltage connector or wiring to the coil pack try wiggling the wire and connector to the coil pack see if it cures it or changes the tone of the misfire.
