 Topic: lowering springs

I've been looking for lowering my 2009 c-max.I've got the choice between eibach(30mm),H&R(35mm)and weitec(30mm).Has anyone put one of these springs under their c-max?
I would like to now your opinion.The tyres are 225/40/18

Not put any on my Max,but I did put some eibach on one of my previous cars & it was a much better handling car,I also changed the dampers.They were adjustable so I could alter the comfort levels,ie medium soft ride or quite hard (also a few settings in between too)

When lowering a car apart from the spring is there anything else that needs changing. Also as a result of lowering it can this cause parts to wear quicker on the car.

I would recommend a 4 wheel alignment, by lowering it will affect camber, caster and toe settings, toe is the only adjustable on C-Max but if toe is out it'll have an exagerated impact on tyre wear.

Here in Belgium you can get your c-max lowered with original ford springs,but there actually eibach springs ,so if ford is selling them as an option,I can't see what part can be damaged.Over here when you have lowered your car you must do a 4 wheel alignement, that is the law here.I think I'm gonna buy the eibachs 30 mm lower with 18'' is more than enough

My Cmax has got the Sport Pack 3 which includes the 30mm suspension drop and 18" wheels.
The handling is great (tyres won't last long!) looks great, stays flat round corners etc etc but...after the winter we've had and the state of the roads, i'm tempted to swap to 17" wheels if not 16's. It's not that the ride is too bad, but the 18" are maybe just too low profile - 1 pothole and the wheel will be buckled!!
Hopefully, because motorists have paid so many £billions in taxes, the roads will be repaired quickly to a nice smooth finish and I can go back to enjoying the great handling!

They filled the major pot holes by us,only for them to re appear even deeper  .
At the moment I`m quite glad I`ve only got 16`s on.
