Tricky parking made easy with Active Park Assist Active Park Assist not only finds the right space for you – it will actually perform a semi-automatic parallel parking manoeuvre. It uses a series of body-mounted sensors, so the driver only has to press the accelerator, shift gears or brake – the steering is all done for you! Audible warnings and information displayed on the centre console's screen guide the driver until the parking manoeuvre has been successfully completed. Available as an option on both the new C-MAX and Grand C-MAX. Safer overtaking with the Blind Spot Information System Available as an option on both the new C-MAX and Grand C-MAX, the system is designed to make longer journeys a more relaxing experience, particularly on motorways. Rear body-mounted sensors cover the crucial areas known as blind spots. Discreet warning lamps in both door mirrors warn you when a vehicle is in either zone.
Putting you in command – the Human Machine Interface (HMI) The driver controls and displays within the new cockpit represent the next generation of Ford’s Human Machine Interface (HMI) system. Two toggle switches on the steering wheel link to the two main vehicle displays in the instrument cluster and centre console. They give you simple, intuitive operation of key vehicle and entertainment features (according to the audio system chosen) while you keep both hands on the wheel, so reducing distraction to a minimum.
Rear seatbelt minder Available on the new Grand C-MAX, this system alerts the driver via the instrument cluster display if any passengers in the second or third row seats do not have their seat belts correctly fastened. Stay connected while you're on the go The new C-MAX also has a comprehensive connectivity package which includes voice control, hands-free phone operation via Bluetooth, and connection points for a many devices and media players. There's also the new Sony premium audio system with improved radio reception and a new SD card-based navigation system featuring real signposts, 3-D views and speed limit display. Rear-view camera Sometimes when you’re parking, it’s impossible to see obstacles behind you, such as bollards and low walls – and you can find yourself backing into them. |
